Episode 22: Lachlan Mackay — A Peace Gene Isolated

Listen in as Lachlan Mackay talks about how early in the restoration movement there were commands to sue for peace although that was eclipsed by the militarism of the saints in Missouri and Nauvoo later on. Lach goes on to talk about how an emphasis on peace returned with Joseph Smith Jr’s son Joseph Smith III and in onto today with Community of Christ being a peace church.

World Conference Resolution G-1 Nonviolence has created quite a buzz through out Community of Christ. This resolution challenges us to proclaim peace in a way we have not before.
